Mrs. Hao Pham Fiori

In 2019, my family moved to Sudan as part of a non-governmental project. With great enthusiasm, it was the first time I decided to purchase traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai for me and my beloved daughter - a perfect garment for any grand celebration. Wearing Ao Dai on special occasions served as a remarkable opportunity for me to convey and promote my cultural heritage and proudly represent the iconic image of Vietnam in the heart of Africa.

Regrettably, our stay in Sudan was fraught with turbulence and uncertainty, my family eventually had to relocate to a different country to avoid a potential civil conflict. As a result, I was not afforded the opportunity to wear Ao Dai with my daughter during our time in Sudan. Despite that, I still cherish the memory of my daughter and I trying on our matching Ao Dai - a delightful moment that I hold dear to my heart. Even though my daughter has now outgrown her Ao Dai, I will always treasure an unforgettable experience during our time in Sudan and the beautiful cultural connection that it represents.
